For instance, try to ping (or dig) www.google.com and you'll see the truth: :~$ ping www.google.com PING google.navigation.opendns.com (208.69.34.230) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from google.navigation.opendns.com (208.69.34.230): icmp_seq=1 ttl=50 time=64.5 ms I do use OpenDNS too but there are some ‘features’ that you’ve to know and, probably, change in your OpenDNS config panel.
